Take Time to Think While Eating Lutefisk

It’s about this time of year when Minnesotans turn off their thinking caps and curl up for the long winter’s nap—or something like that. You can tell their thinking isn’t what it used to be due to the proliferation of lutefisk suppers.

Let’s admit it, who in their right mind would partake of such an ordeal if their brain was working at full throttle. So what do we need to do? Time to crank out some conundrums to get those brain cells fired up again.

Mary’s father has 4 children; three are named Nana, Nene, and Nini. So what is is the 4th child's name?
Answer: If you said "Nono" then you are wrong. If Mary's father had 4 children, with three named Nana, Nene, and Nini, then the last child's name would have to be Mary!

From what heavy seven-letter word can you take away two letters and have eight left?
Answer: There are at least two possibilities: Freight or weights!

What three numbers have the same answer when added together and multiplied together?
Answer: 1, 2, 3

What is put on a table and cut, but never eaten?
Answer: A deck of cards

I am taken from a mine, and shut up in a wooden case, from which I am never released, and yet I am used by almost everybody. What am I?
Answer: Pencil lead

Answer: The other end of the rope isn't tied to anything!

Answer: The dictionary!

A railroad crossing, look for the cars. Can you spell all that without any R's?
Answer: Yes, "all that"!

You are pushing your car. You stop at a hotel. At that precise moment you realize that you are bankrupt. What is actually going on?
Answer: You are probably playing Monopoly!

What can you eat without thinking? Answer: Lutefisk. Be careful.
